2025 TCS London Marathon Charity Place Application

Thank you for your interest in joining #TeamSamaritans at the 2025 TCS London Marathon. When you run with #TeamSamaritans, you’re running to show others there is always hope and raising money to help Samaritans be here, day and night, for anyone who needs someone. 

If you’re awarded a place, you will be asked to pay a £100 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £2,500.

We have a limited number of charity places available, so please include as much detail as possible in your application when telling us why you’d love to run in support of Samaritans.

Thank you for choosing to support #TeamSamaritans. We'll be with you every step of the way and support you with everything you need to make your fundraising a success. In this section you'll be asked for some more information on why you've chosen to support Samaritans so we can best support you.

We know that talking about your reason for supporting Samaritans may be difficult, so please only share what you feel comfortable with.

The minimum target is £2,500 excluding Gift Aid

Samaritans shares supporters stories with permission, to help raise awareness of its services and help more people believe there’s a better tomorrow. See Share your story for full details on how your story might be used by Samaritans. The decision to share your story will not affect your application.

Please note that by signing up to join #TeamSamaritans you agree to the following terms:

  • I will be 18 or over on the day of the event (April 2025)
  • I confirm that I am medically fit and take part in the event at my own risk
  • I understand that the fundraising target for this event is £2,500 exclusive of Gift Aid 
  • We’ll email you to share event information, fundraising advice and training tips, plus advice to support you to reach your fundraising target
  • If you supply your telephone number we may text you from time to time with important event information and/or use this to contact you about your application
  • We’ll use your postal address to send you an information pack and running vest
